While I do try to put myself in their shoes (perhaps they had a fight or something else that makes even grown ups act like children) I do get upset at the lack of training, discipline and down right respect I sometimes see in families. I'm glad you're posting about it. Next time, if you're brave enough, I'd encourage you to approach the kid/parent about it. I can't imagine that they would be anything like the rules we had growing up. I didn't even have a phone in my bedroom...remember the kind of phones that used to plug into walls?! Pretty soon the parenting section in the bookstore will have as many books on how to "unplug your child" as they do on how to get them to sleep.
